Is tabular corundum sintered corundum or fused corundum?
Tabular corundum is sintered corundum, and the main process flow is as follows:
1. Raw powder balls
The alumina powder is passed through a pelletizing machine to form alumina green balls.
2. Sintering of green balls
The alumina green pellets are sintered at high temperature in the natural gas sintering tower to complete the phase transformation and crystal shape remodeling.
3. Cool the sintered balls
After the high-temperature sintering is completed in the upper part of the sintering tower, the rapid cooling is separated from the sintering tower and enters the cooling link.
4. crush&sieving the sintered balls
After the corundum ball is cooled, it enters the crushing and screening process, and enters the sand making machine or ball mill to produce tabular corundum products with different particle sizes.
Because it has not gone through the electric melting and smelting process of the electric arc furnace, tabular corundum belongs to the sintering process, also called sintered corundum, and is mainly used for refractory related products.
